ON A MISSION
“I came here to play basketball”, Asael said only one hour after his arrival in Hamburg. The now twenty-five year old has a very moving life story, and now wants to focus on wheelchair basketball and compete with the best players in the RBBL. After all, Asael still has big goals in life.
His fans always get to see a passionate and sometimes unbridled Asael on the court. Asael’s moving life story was on of the reasons for our film project and he is a main character of our movie “Fourteen and a half collisions”.

The young Israeli Asael, who was the victim of a terrorist attack as a child, travels to Hamburg to realize his dream as a wheelchair basketball professional. Here he meets Iranian Ali, and an unusual friendship emerges. For one season, they live together with their basketball team in a house that is on the grounds of a hospital.
