BEAST FROM THE EAST

Karlis is out of luck this season. He suffers one injury after another. But the lowpointer isn’t only important on the court. Karlis is a fighter, who gives always a hundret percent for the success of his team. He takes a major part of the moral of the Baskets and motivates everyone until the end. It’s his second season in Hamburg and we would not say that he is part of the team’s core. Karlis is the team’s core.

Back home in Latvia Karlis actually is wheelchair basketball player of the year. This is why he met NBA star Kristaps Porziņģis last summer. Great achievement! Karlis second home is the gym. Wheelchair pull-ups? No problem at all for Karlis! Let’s call him ‘Beast from the East’. Despite strong muscles and deep voice (Batman like) Karlis is a warmhearted person. We hope the ‘Latvian Nice Guy’ can take way more part on the court.
